Terms of service

Last updated October 12, 2026

Welcome to Alice Labs. Please read these terms and the documents they refer to (together, the “Terms”). They are a binding agreement between you and Alice AI ApS, CVR 44597144 (“Alice”, “we”, “us”), and they cover your use of Alice Labs at labs.alice.tech, an experimental study tutor, and everything on it (the “Service”).

1. Alice Labs is a beta

Alice Labs is an early, experimental version of Alice. It's where we try new ideas before they reach alice.tech, and it is not a finished product. By using it, you accept that:

  • Features change, break or disappear without notice, sometimes from one day to the next.
  • Your data can be lost. We may reset, migrate or delete courses, files, chats and progress while we build. Keep your own copy of anything you upload, and don't rely on the Service as your only copy of anything.
  • Alice makes mistakes. Answers, summaries, practice questions, feedback and marks of what you've learned are made by AI and can be wrong, incomplete or made up. Check them against your course material and your teachers.
  • It may never launch. We may pause or end Alice Labs at any time, for everyone or for you.
  • There's no service level. We try to keep it running, but it can be slow or down, and we don't promise when it will be back.
  • Don't depend on it for anything critical, such as your only preparation for an exam or a deadline.

2. Who can use it

Alice Labs is invite-only. We decide who gets access, and we can take it away at any time, without giving a reason.

You can use the Service only if you (i) are 18 or older, or between 13 and 18 with a parent's or guardian's consent, (ii) can enter a binding agreement and aren't barred from doing so by law, and (iii) use it for your own, private, non-commercial learning.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure: you're responsible for what happens on your Alice account. Don't share it. If you think someone else has used it, tell us at once at support@alice.tech.

4. It's free

Alice Labs is free during the beta and we don't take payment for it. If we ever want to charge for it, we'll ask you first, under separate terms, and nothing changes for you unless you agree.

5. Using the Service

5.1. What you upload

You may only upload material you have the right to use, such as your own notes or material you've been given for your studies, and only for your own private use (cf. the Danish Copyright Act, § 12). Don't upload sensitive personal information, about you or anyone else: Alice Labs isn't built for it.

5.2. What you must not do

You, and anyone acting for you, must not:

  1. share, sell or give others access to the Service or your account;
  2. reverse engineer the Service or try to get its source code;
  3. get around its security or limits, or disrupt it in any way;
  4. use it to build a competing product or service, or to copy its features;
  5. use it for anything illegal or misleading;
  6. collect, use or share data in a way that breaks anyone else's rights.

5.3. Your school's rules

Use the Service only as your school allows AI to be used. Using it to break your school's exam or teaching rules breaks these Terms, and we may close your account for it.

6. Feedback

Alice Labs is here so we can learn what works. If you send us feedback, ideas or bug reports, we may use them to improve Alice, without owing you anything for them. If you told us we may contact you, we may email you to ask how it's going or to invite you to a call. You can say no, or ask us to stop, at any time.

7. Your content

7.1. It's yours

You keep full ownership of what you upload or write (“Your Content”). We don't claim any rights in it beyond what we need to run the Service, and we don't show it to other users.

7.2. What Alice makes

We don't claim copyright in what the Service generates for you (summaries, answers, questions, and so on). You may use it for your own learning while you have access to the Service.

7.3. What you let us do with it

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, which we may pass on to our processors, to store, copy, process and display Your Content only as needed to run, look after and improve the Service: reading your files, writing summaries and practice, and answering you in the chat. Our privacy policy says how we handle your data.

7.4. Deleting it

You can delete a course, or your whole account, at any time from the app. Deleting your account deletes your courses, files and chats, and can't be undone. Because this is a beta, we may also delete data ourselves (see section 1).

7.5. Copyright complaints

If you think something on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@alice.tech with: (1) the work you think is infringed, (2) where it is on the Service, (3) your contact details, (4) a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorised, and (5) a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the copyright or may act for its owner. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

8. No guarantees

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, as a beta, without any promise that it works, is accurate, is available or is fit for any purpose. We don't promise that using it will improve your learning, and we aren't responsible for your exam results or any other assessment of you.

9. Limited liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from the Service, however it's claimed (in contract, negligence or otherwise), including:

  1. lost, corrupted or deleted data, or the cost of getting it back;
  2. mistakes in anything the Service generates, or anything you do based on it;
  3. the Service being unavailable, changed or ended;
  4. a security breach caused by a third party, or the internet failing;
  5. anything else beyond our reasonable control;
  6. exam results, or any other assessment of you.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

10. Ending

You can stop using the Service, and delete your account, at any time. We may suspend or close your account, or end Alice Labs, at any time, for example if you break these Terms. These Terms end with your access, but sections 7.2, 8, 9 and 12 still apply after that.

11. Changes to these Terms

As the Service changes, so may these Terms. The date at the top says when they last did. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.

12. Law and disputes

Most problems can be solved without lawyers. Before taking any formal step, write to support@alice.tech with a short description and your contact details, and we'll both genuinely try to find a solution.

These Terms are governed by Danish law. A dispute is finally settled by the City Court of Copenhagen, Denmark.

13. Language

These Terms and all related documents are written in English. By agreeing to them, you accept English for these matters.
